This page will be completely devoted to Microsoft Visual Basic. Here you will find a library of programs that I have written as well as other interesting programs, code snippets and modules written by other people. Please assume that Visual Basic 6 or the Visual Basic run-time files are required to run any program/code found on this page.

Click to download the Frequency Analysis Utility v1.0. This application will save a lot of time when performing frequency analysis as all the calculations are done for you, all you will need to do is apply the results to your particular Cipher Text. Compiled Visual Basic executable only.

Click to download the 9 Pin Serial Project. This is a very simple project that will show how to control an led via a serial connection. To use the program simply connect a 1k resistor and led in series between pins 4 and 7 of your 9 pin serial port. Source Code & Compiled Visual Basic executable included.

Click to download the Resistor Network Calculator V1.03 Beta. This version sees the project that little nearer completion. The '>3 Multiple Serial Resistor Network' feature is now complete but it should be noted that the '>3 Multiple Parallel Resistor Network' feature is still unfinished and does not give a correct result. It is now possible to set the minimum and maximum values for V In, R1 & R2 in the 'Voltage Divider' feature. Compiled Visual Basic executable only.

Click to download the Resistor Network Calculator V1.02 Beta. This version has formatted outputs (to two decimal places) plus the Website & E-Mail icons now launch the appropriate system-default programs. There have also been a few minor bug fixes. The '> Than 3 Resistors' features are still to be coded. Compiled Visual Basic executable only.

Click to download the Resistor Value Calculator V1.01. An excellent little util to enable those new to electronics to calculate the value of any resistor.

VBRun60sp4.exe is a self-extracting executable file that installs the latest versions of the Microsoft Visual Basic run-time files required by all applications created with Visual Basic 6.0. These files include the fixes shipped with Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 4.
